FreeSource can provide desktop computers free of charge to local community organizations dedicated to serving individuals with low or no incomes. Our computers are older PCs brought back to life with a low-power, user-friendly distribution of Linux and loaded with free and open source educational and productivity software (and games).
Furthermore, we can work to customize each computer to meet the specific needs of your organization. In order to qualify for this program, your organization must:
Be located within the St. Louis area
Serve individuals with low or no incomes in some way
Agree to not get mad and throw the computer out the window if it breaks
Be willing to cultivate a collaborative relationship with FreeSource
